Blame It On The Rain

| | Comments (0)

I'm so glad I didn't live in times prior to the light bulb, and am reminded of this profound gratitude when the power goes out during thunderstorms.

Guess I’ll never know what could have been,
Sure ain’t helping this mood that I’m in,
If they're gonna keep on playing me songs like,

Rainy Night In Georgia,
and Kentucky Rain,
Here Comes That Rainy Day Feeling Again,
Blue Eyes Crying In The early morning Rain,
They go on and on,
And there’s no two the same...

It'd be so easy to blame all these songs about rain...

Speaking of blaming songs... Poor Ashlee Simpson. Discuss.

Related, but not the same, I still have that old Milli Vanilli cassette somewhere...

I've been lying in wait for my perfect moment to strike. It just took one measly little Erik-didn't-hear-the-alarm morning, and he had no time to drive me to work. So I got to drive myself. I feel like a grown-up again.

I'd like to thank the Academy, for recognizing genius when they see it, and the Boston Red Sox, for playing into the wee hours and actually winning a game.

That Y Chromosome, man. It messes 'em all up.

I am sick. 780.79 sick. I can't open my eyes all the way and I am blessed beyond belief to have a husband who makes me tea with honey. My head hurts and my forehead's clammy. I ache all over and I'm freezing-burning up. I want dragonfly barrettes.

Today I'm wondering if someone should do some housecleaning at the CDC. Every fall those slackers tell us, "Well, the flu's ontime this year, but the flu vaccine will be late, and there will be a shortage of it..." EVERY year?!?!

Do they not still work on it in the off-season? Diggity, people. Work. Work, work, work it.

The chicken dance will make you feel better.

It may have been the idealism of my twenties, but I realized this afternoon I spent seven years waiting for Ross and Rachel to get back together. Thank God Erik came along when he did.
