I've been oversleeping lately.

Oh, not by much, just by a half hour or so, and the thing about me is that I get up too early anyway.
"If I woke up one morning with my memory gone/ I'd pick out some clothes and put them on/ and I'd walk down the street and find a cafe/ then I'd order a Guinness and sit there all day.... And then it would rain like it sometimes does/ but if we were bored it wouldn't bother us/ we'd just get in the car and drive through the night/ and be lost in East Texas, but no one would mind..."
Travis, what is the name of that song??? And why is it in my head? I almost got lost in East Texas once. When I needed a trip, I was going to move there. They have better trees, a friend told me. That would defnitely be a place to get lost, where you can't pronounce the names of towns and such. Tasha wouldn't be able to come visit, because she can't say Nacogdoches. So instead of moving, I just went on a trip to North Dakota. There are so many places I've never been...

It's the title track off of Deep Blue Something's Home.

Yes, yes, that's it. It's on some mix tape from 1996 or something, and it's in m'head today, can't do a thing about it. Also, there is..."My name is Jonas...."

Oh man. I'm reminded now that I own that album, and there's a song about worms eating a dead girl on there.

No, no, My Name is Jonas is on another album...Weezer? But it's on the same mix tape. I don't know about the worms?!?! Ick. It is said your dog will die with you. Your cat will eat your face.

If you want a trip where there are better trees, North Dakota is not it. But luckily, I just wanted a trip where there was a boyfriend, so ND did just dandy!

The Mom said:

HEY! There ARE trees...the leaves are just getting brave enough to come out as it warms up from the frigid condition called winter....WE HAVE TREES!!!!! ;) And...I have 3 setting out in the yard waiting to be planted...so that's "x" number of trees in ND plus 3!
